I am recently trying to learn Blender. It's not easy, but when i see, what i can do with it if i had learn it... So it's really worth the time. The most important part for me is to learn how to create and mapping 3D-objects rather than animation or the internal game-engine.

Blender's UI is indeed a bit of hassle in the beginning. After you get familiar with it, you are able to do most nice models with it. Don't give up =)

Agreed - it takes tremendous persistence but, in the spirit of open source, there are plenty of FREE resources to help you learn it!

I use it to make 3D meshes for virtual products to put into the IMVU catalog. If you like, you can visit me there at [link] - we have a great Blender group on IMVU.

Nice looking stamp. I've used it in my journal so :+fav: :).
During my Amiga days, I was using Lightwave and Cinema4D, but for few years I'm using the ubuntu (and soon migrate to MacOS), so I've choosed Blender. And I'm quite satisfied with renders, but interface is ugly.

The interface isn't ugly.. It's just hard to get used to. There is an update coming Soon(tm)..

I love the interface of Blender and have been wondering why other editors don't have it like that.
